It is with great joy and immense satisfaction, I would like to address our institution as the Chairperson which was bestowed upon me by sheer coincidence. I feel proud and at the same time humbled to be a name next to the stalwarts.

oday’s glorious position of the institution the culmination of the relentless efforts and  perseverance  of  my  predecessors  and  their  ability  to  face  challenges  and  of  course, The support and guidance of the managing committee and well-wishers.

The seed called Jogeshwari Education Society was sown way back in the pre independence times to provide educational facilities to the deprived residents of Jogeshwari.

A  Secondary  School  with  six  students  in  a  small  room  named  ‘Jogeshwari  Education School’ was moulded into a Municipal School later, with the help of the local board. It has gained tremendous popularity over the years. The credit goes to its excellent educational standards.

Thanks to the large hearted committee which has borne the financial burden for quite a number of years till the grant was sanctioned.

The Gandbhirs generous donation in memory of their son Master Arvind Gandbhir promoted the school as Arvind Gandbhir High School which has emerged as a landmark in Jogeshwari.

Despite the fact that many educational institutions have been mushrooming constantly,JES stands taller as the residents consider it prestigious to get into JES.

The  handing  of  the  reigns  of  management  to  a  much  younger,  dynamic  and  enthusiastic team of some alumni, has seen the birth of both the Junior and Senior Colleges in a short gap which are soaring high with different courses - bifocal at Jr. College B. Com, BMS, BAF, & B.Sc.IT at the Degree level.

A high demand for English Medium Schools has prompted the management to start an English Medium School in the vicinity which has already etched its name in the field of education.

It in a pleasure to declare that our students consistently bring laurels in sports, archery, drama at the University, State and National levels.

Our students from the DLLE wing have shown their talents in varied ways. Bridge Courses like tally, lecture on banking, Insurance have benefitted our students.

Our placement cell has achieved a landmark as more than 90 students were placed in different jobs.

The graph of the College is rising steeply with it competent and zealous faculty, administrative staff, best infrastructure, library, a  playground, a computer lab, an audio-visual room and an auditorium to promote cultural activities.Last-we have a canteen to cater to the needs of the staff and students

JES Management is vigilant and ever ready to recognise the requirements of the students and to meet the demands to place the college at a higher pedesta.

The Management foresees JES at a prestigious position with its plans to expand the range of courses , different activities in the field of Art, Literature, Drama, Music, Sports etc.  so that the benefits touch the lives of many students. 

JES has new feathers in its cap with the inception of NSS and College festival  JOSH’ in this academic year.
